Pastor John Collinsworth
Pastor Collinsworth and Sister Collinsworth are devoted members of Life Sanctuary, having been part of the congregation for over 20 years. John has served as Pastor since 2019, providing spiritual leadership and guidance to the church and community. Together, they have five children and four grandchildren, with family being a central part of their lives. Their long-term commitment to Life Sanctuary and their extensive experience make them valued and respected figures both within the church and within the community.

Bishop Tim Weatheread
Bishop Weatheread and Sister Weatheread began their pastoral journey in 1989 and faithfully served until 2019. Known for their giving hearts, boundless love, and tireless work ethic, they have touched countless lives with their compassion and dedication. Bishop Weatheread continues to lead with wisdom and grace serving in any capacity needed. Sis Weatheread, always a beacon of warmth, cherishes time spent with friends and family. Together, they enjoy the company of their children and grandchildren. Tim finds joy in riding his mules, while Sheryl loves hosting and connecting with loved ones. The Weathereads are a true testament to a life devoted to faith, family, and friendship.

Sunday School
Sis. Joanie Collinsworth has been serving as a Sunday School teacher at Life Sanctuary since 2003. Throughout this time, she has taught multiple classes ranging in ages from 3-12. She is a loving wife to Pastor John Collinsworth and the mother of 4 boys, and 1 daughter. She has been blessed with 2 daughters in law as well as the greatest 4 grandchildren. Joanie has spent the last 21 years working as an elementary special education teacher and has a passion for creating inclusive environments for all children to experience Sunday School!
Youth Ministry
Ricardo and Shaula Trinidad are influential leaders at Life Sanctuary, serving as youth pastors and leading the Celebrate Recovery ministry. They are known for their strong testimony and dedication to helping others overcome life’s challenges. The Trinidads are considered pillars in the church community, offering support and guidance to both youth and adults. In addition to their ministry work, they run a landscaping company together, showcasing their teamwork and entrepreneurial spirit. In their free time, Ricardo and Shaula enjoy going on cruises and fishing, balancing their busy professional and spiritual lives with relaxing and enjoyable activities.
Media Ministry
Jeanette Hollis has been a dedicated member of Life Sanctuary for over 15 years. She currently serves in the media department, where her reliability and commitment are highly valued. Throughout her time at the church, Jeanette has also contributed as a Sunday school teacher, demonstrating her versatility and dedication to the church community. Her long-standing service and dependable nature make her an integral part of Life Sanctuary.
Host Ministry
Terry and Susan Withrow are dedicated hosts at Life Sanctuary, where they lead our Endtime Ministry. They are passionate about their roles and enjoy spending quality time with their grandchildren. Their involvement at Life Sanctuary reflects their commitment to their faith and their community, making them respected leaders in their ministry. Balancing their spiritual duties and family time, Terry and Susan exemplify the values they uphold and share within their faith-based activities.
Hyphen Leader & Bible Quizzing
Kristie and her son Zak moved from St. Louis to Gun Barrel City in February 2023, and they have been enjoying their new community ever since. Kristie currently serves as the Hyphen leader and is excited to lead the newly formed Bible Quizzing teams. Kristie is passionate about guiding young people in their spiritual journey and helping them grow in their faith through engaging and supportive environments.

Sunday School
Robin has been a dedicated member of Life Sanctuary since 2002, contributing significantly to the through various roles. With a deep passion for spiritual growth, Robin has served as a Sunday school teacher for 12 years, guiding and nurturing the spiritual journeys of many. Robin continues to inspire others with wisdom and compassion. Outside of church activities, Robin enjoys indulging in crafts and cherishes time spent with grandchildren, finding joy in both creativity and family.
Music Ministry
Amy Weatheread has been a member of Life Sanctuary for over 3 decades serving in multiple capacities within the church. She most recently works as interim music leader with our worship team. She loves being outdoors and spending time with her family.

We are to heal the broken-hearted, raise up the sick, deliver the captives, recover sight to the blind, and worship in Spirit and in Truth.

What we believe
Life Sanctuary is a United Pentecostal church founded on the first church birthed in the Book of Acts. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible Word of God.
We believe there is only one God (Deuteronomy 6:4). He is the creator of heaven and earth. He has revealed Himself as the Father (Creator), as the Son (Savior), and as the Holy Ghost (indwelling Spirit).
We believe in water baptism by immersion in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sin. Through baptism we identify with the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. Acts 2:38
We believe in the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial sign of speaking in other tongues. And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. Acts 2:4
We believe in the manifestation of the gifts of the Holy Ghost. God ministers to His people through tongues, interpretation of tongues, prophecy; words of knowledge and wisdom, discerning of spirits, faith, working of miracles, and healings. Mark 16:15-18, Acts 5:16:2, 2 Corinthians 12:1-11
